The Internet Data Centre (IDC) features world-class
facilities with standard features being custom-designed
raised floors, HVAC temperature control systems
with separate cooling zones and seismically
braced racks.
By locating within the IDC, our servers are
closer to the Internet backbone. This means
greater bandwidth and redundancy.

connected to the Internet backbone via a 100meg
fiber redundant trunk. The IDC features a
redundant network of multiple fiber trunks
from a number of sources, including Telstra,
Optus & Connect. Should a connection fail

within the lobby of the IDC, a
visitor can be viewed from any
angle and a digital image of the
visitor captured. This can then
be compared with a global database
of wanted criminals or undesired
visitors. Once ID has been confirmed,
visitors are required to enter
the IDC via a 'Mantrap'*. The
whole of the lobby, security station
and the mantraps are bullet proof.
Access, once inside the IDC,
is controlled via a series of
biometric hand scanners* and card
readers. These biometric scanners
act as a second line of defence
in the unlikely event that the
main entry lobby is breached.
